What to upgrade to
Go to 26.04.
26.04 is the newest supported long-term Ubuntu cycle, with security fixes until 29 May 2031.
Before you upgrade
An in-place upgrade goes one LTS at a time. A fresh server on the new release, with the sites moved across, is often quicker and safer. Read the Ubuntu 26.04 upgrade guide
How to check your version
Which Ubuntu is this site on?
On the server
Without lsb_release
On Forge
Know before support ends.
Porro reads the PHP, framework and database version from every site and tells you 90 days before support runs out.
